University Work- Furnishing Brief

Furnishing Brief- Painterly Florals were the inspiration behind my furnishing design, I wanted to achieve a textured furnishing pattern so i looked at dahilas and the different tones and dhadows within the flower which i captured by sketchy brush stroke in several colours. 64cm x 64cm furnishing repeat

Cards Designs- November 2009

Frames-
Looking back at my old previous card designs from university, i was inspired to take these designs and adapt them on photoshop and create new designs. My frames designs features frames with sketches, objects, texts and photos inside. I love the combined techniques and textures which i think gives the image illustrative collage look.

University Work- Ceramic Designs.

Ceramic Designs-
Another example of 3rd year university work, This brief was set by artist Matthew Rice, and the task was to look at Wedgwood ceramic designs and re-invent some new designs. I chose an oriental theme as for my ceramics based upon birds, flowers and birdcages in feminine colours.

University work- Handmade card designs.

Handmade Cards-
I am adding more of my university portfolio work upon my blog to create a online portfolio untill i get a website up and going. During my 3rd year at uni i did a two week brief for Watermark Cards, I chose the theme of objects and birthday presents for the female market. I used a variation of techniques included photoshop desgins, screen printing and collage. I am thinking of designing some more variations on Adobe Photoshop to form more of a collection.

George @ Asda- 2 week work placement.
I have spent the past two weeks at George House in Lutterworth on a two week work placement in the girls and baby design department. The placement has been great and i have gained experience working within a busy design studio environment. I have spent the two weeks designing for the department, attending supplier meetings, taking photographs and trend research which i thoroughly enjoyed. The experience has given me a creative boost and i have been producing more pattern designs and card designs.

Whilst i have some free time at the moment i have began producing more surface pattern. I wanted to gain more experience in Adobe Photoshop so i have produced several repeat patterns which i really enjoyed creating. Shown below are new designs for my Animal Childrenswear designs.
